Bildbereich Program Overview This Winter School offers: • Academic courses on European history, politics and economy taught in English by University of Tübingen faculty • Unit “Intercultural Competence” • IES Community – Exchange of Global Perspectives: Find new international friends! • Fabulous Facts of Intercultural Exchange: Presentation of the town and University of Tübingen, fun German expressions and personal exchange of the multitude of cultures, languages, hometowns and universities of the participants Application Deadline: October 31, 2020 Online Winter School 2021 Winter School on European Politics and Economy January 4 – 29, 2021 The Online Winter School will deal with the historical, political, and economic dynamics of European Integration, and cover the current challenges Europe and the EU face today: Brexit, political fragmentation and radicalization, economic turmoil and more. The Online Winter School on European Politics and Economy offers a varied program of academic lessons and intercultural exchange in an online setting at the University of Tübingen, one of Germany’s few universities in the top “Excellent” class. The Online Winter School will be based on online material that students can access at any time using Tübingen university’s MOODLE system, as well as on live online discussions via ZOOM. Credits and Transcript After successful completion of the courses, students will obtain 3 ECTS credits and will receive a certificate of attendance and an official transcript. Program fee The program fee is 100 €. It includes all courses as well as the issue of a certificate and transcript. There will be no additional costs. Admission The Online Winter School is designed for undergraduate students of humanities, social sciences, economics and law who wish to gain a basic knowledge of Europe and the European Union, its history, economy and how it deals with current challenges. Participants must be enrolled as students and must have a very good command of English to be able to follow the academic courses and participate in discussions.
